A ‘Sweet’ Sourdough Starter Story

Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to spend five glorious days with my steam sisters (that’s a story for another time!) in the beautiful NSW town of Orange.

Before I left, our gorgeous and generous host, Gayle, gifted me a small jar of sourdough starter — a humble little jar that turned out to be the gift that keeps on giving.

That same starter still bubbles away in my kitchen today, helping me bake the most delicious, crusty loaves of bread to share with family and friends. There’s something so special about a simple gift that brings such lasting joy.

Forever grateful — to Gayle, to the magic of sourdough, and to every last bite.
